A Four-Layer Blood Sugar Formula

Each 600 mg tablet provides 1.3 mg corosolic acid from Banaba, 36 mg Ginkgo biloba, 8.5 mg zinc, 55 mcg selenium and 1.5 mg vitamin B6, plus six traditional botanicals.

The formula

Four tiers in a single 600 mg tablet

Each tier has a defined job, and none of them is asked to do more than the evidence allows.

Lead

Banaba leaf extract (Lagerstroemia speciosa L.)

Corosolic acid 1.3 mg

The core active of the formula, acting on glucose metabolism. It may help inhibit the rise in blood glucose after meals.

Amplifier

Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract

36 mg (flavonol glycosides)

Provides antioxidant action and helps protect the microcirculation — the direction associated with long-term complication risk. It does not lower blood glucose directly.

Micronutrients

Zinc · Selenium · Vitamin B6

8.5 mg · 55 mcg · 1.5 mg

Three nutrients that underpin insulin handling, antioxidant enzyme activity and energy metabolism, filling gaps a plant extract alone cannot cover.

Supporting botanicals

Red ginseng, bitter melon, grape seed, gotu kola, Jerusalem artichoke, oat

Traditional botanical blend

Six familiar botanicals that give the formula its character and heritage. They are included in a supporting role only, and no clinical efficacy is claimed for them.

Ingredients

What is inside each 600 mg tablet

Five quantified actives and six supporting botanicals, listed with their exact amounts.

Banaba leaf extract (Lagerstroemia speciosa L.)

Banaba leaf extract (Lagerstroemia speciosa L.)

Corosolic acid 1.3 mg

The lead ingredient, standardised for Corosolic acid. It may help inhibit the rise in blood glucose after meals, acting on glucose metabolism through three complementary routes.

Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract

Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract

36 mg (flavonol glycosides)

A strong antioxidant that supports the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway and helps protect small blood vessels; it does not lower blood glucose directly. Standardised EGb 761 extract typically contains around 24% flavonol glycosides and 6% terpene lactones.

Zinc

Zinc

8.5 mg

Needed for the synthesis, storage and secretion of insulin by the pancreatic beta cells. It also contributes to antioxidant defence, normal immune function and wound healing.

Selenium

Selenium

55 mcg

A component of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase (GPx), which helps protect cells from oxidative stress. It works in concert with the antioxidant action of Ginkgo Biloba.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6

1.5 mg

Involved in red blood cell formation, energy metabolism and mood regulation. It also supports the synthesis of neurotransmitters.

Six supporting botanicals

Presented as a 600 mg tablet, 30 tablets per bottle (18 g). The six botanicals above are included for their supporting and signature role in the formula; no clinical efficacy is claimed for them.

Red ginseng
Red ginseng

An instantly recognisable Korean botanical, traditionally associated with stamina and resilience, included here for the premium character it lends the formula.

Bitter melon
Bitter melon

Nicknamed "plant insulin" in folk tradition — a familiar name alongside a blood sugar formula, included for that familiarity rather than for any clinical effect.

Grape seed
Grape seed

A well-known symbol of antioxidant care, which fits the formula's theme of looking after the kidneys and blood vessels.

Gotu kola (Centella asiatica)
Gotu kola (Centella asiatica)

Long associated in traditional use with microcirculation and skin repair.

Jerusalem artichoke
Jerusalem artichoke

A natural source of inulin and soluble fibre, which suits the prebiotic side of the formula.

Oat
Oat

A familiar source of soluble fibre, associated with digestive comfort and everyday metabolic wellbeing.
